At Cain & Co, supporting the community is not a marketing exercise. It is something that matters personally to us.
Paul regularly takes on walking challenges to raise money for children’s hospital wards, diabetes charities and other causes close to his heart. These challenges are a simple but meaningful way to give back, raise awareness and support organisations that help people through difficult times.
Paul’s walking challenges are about more than just fundraising. They are also about personal wellbeing, discipline and doing something positive that creates real impact.
By setting tough personal goals and committing to them, Paul is able to support charities that have helped him and many others in similar situations, while also improving his own health and mindset.
Paul successfully completed 1 million steps for Diabetes UK, raising an incredible £580 for the charity.
To honour a bet linked to a generous donation, Paul even completed the final stretch wearing a Chelsea shirt, despite being a lifelong West Ham fan. A sacrifice that did not go unnoticed.
This challenge showed what consistent effort can achieve, especially when people come together to support a cause that truly matters.
Paul has lived with diabetes for around five years, and one of his personal goals is to reverse it.
After trying different approaches that did not deliver the results he hoped for, he decided to take on a step challenge that would support both his health and diabetes research. The original goal was to raise £350, which was exceeded thanks to the generosity of those who supported the challenge.
During training walks, Paul met inspiring people along the way, including an 88-year-old man in Faversham who had completed three marathons, the last at the age of 80. A reminder that determination and movement matter at every stage of life.
These challenges reflect how Cain & Co approaches business too. With commitment, consistency and a genuine desire to help people move forward.
Supporting the community, raising awareness and backing meaningful causes will always be something we stand behind.
